GDA provides quality Graphics for Factory CD jobs. Great care and individual
attention is provided to produce an attractive result, while at the same time,
keeping the cost reasonable. We can use either your ideas, our ideas, or a
collaboration of thoughts to produce a layout, design, and overall look that
is appropriate to your musical or data content. Our standard CD format
is a 4-panel, color booklet, with B&W on the inside; color rear traycard, and
2-color on disk screen print (usually with an image). There are numerous
variations depending on what infomation and images you want included,
and of course, your budget. All stages of the design process are proofed and
clients must "sign-off" on the final proofs before we go to press. Email
can be invaluable in speeding the process, and clients are encourage to install
Adobe Acrobat Reader to view the designs we submit. "Reader" (.pdf files) is the
web standard for online transmission. It's the world's most popular compressed
data format and probably already on your CPU. If you don't have "Reader",
it's a free download from adobe.com.
If you choose to do your own Graphics, you must submit FILM & MATCHPRINTS.
You can submit electronic documents, but there's no discount in our price as we
have to check, correct, and rework your documents into spec. GDA created or
recreated artwork must be inspeced and approved.
If you're providing the Graphics portion of your Factory job, GDA can supply
the Printing and insertion portion along with Replication. Templates for the
CD screen print (MAC/QUARK), and specifications for the inserts are available
with receipt of your Deposit.
The requirements are:
Film Negatives for 4-color offset CMYK
Film Positives for 2-color CD screen prints. (PMS colors must be specified)
Matchprints for all COLOR output.
Velox for all B&W output.
BlueLine and Laserjet print for 2-color CD artwork
Matchprint for full-color CD artwork
All jobs from customer supplied film, are RUN AS SUBMITTED. YOUR GRAPHIC
DESIGNER IS TOTALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR COLOR MATCHING AND QC.
